It was only right that Jay-Z would bring out a surprise guest during his set at the first annual Made In America festival in Philadelphia last night. As curator of the two-day event, Jigga selected a fantastic first day of shows, with performances by an eclectic group of artists including Maybach Music Group (Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, and Rockie Fresh), as well as Calvin Harris, Passion Pit, D’Angelo, Janelle Monae, Jay Electronica, and Skrillex. However, there was no doubt as to who put on the best show. By the end of the night, Hova had virtually the whole G.O.O.D. Music crew onstage with him to perform some of their own hits, with the crowd going wild. Kanye West, Big Sean, Common, Pusha T, and 2 Chainz all came out to show Jay some love, while wifey, Beyonce showed her support from the sidelines. For some footage of the G.O.O.D. Music set and the other performances, courtesy of Yardie, hit the jump! Stay tuned for a re-cap of today’s Made In America events.

Jay Electronica Sends Serious Message to Ben Goldsmith

“@BJGoldsmith ben you need to stop going to the press w these bullshit stories don’t be a fucking hypocrite. ill come see you. you wanna go public, ill go public and you aint gonna like it. stop acting like a bitch.”

That’s exactly what Jay Electronica tweeted Ben Goldsmith in response to what Electronica thinks are falsified stories about his lover Kate Rothschild. Those seem like pretty harsh words, especially calling someone a b****. Goldsmith is Rothschild’s ex-husband who was arrested for slapping Kate and injuring her leg during an altercation while they were together. Rothschild is Electronica’s manager and the two were recently photographed for what is believed to be their first time in public together outside of Electronica’s apartment hailing a cab.

It’s been awhile since we heard from Jay Electronica, but we were warned that this was coming and it’s finally here. A brand new song from Mr. Electronica himself which features Mobb Deep and is produced by Just Blaze as well as Jay Electronica. We’re still waiting on “Act II: Patents Of Nobility“, so hopefully this isn’t the last we hear from Jay this year.

Since the shocking announcement that Lil B made concerning his album, he’s been all over the internet discussing it. In a recent interview with MTV, the topics change to a more appropriate one. Lil B will team up with Roc Nations Jay Electronica for an EP that Lil B says will be “Historical“. Lil B praised Jay Electronica and stated that they have some similarities, mainly the positivity and the desire in changing Hip-Hop. Not much information has been put out about the project, but we do know that it is in the process of being completed and put out for the world to listen. Good move for the Based God? I think so. Be sure to catch Lil B on MTV RapFix today at 4:00 P.M.

This project with Jay is gonna be very spiritual, very uplifting, very deep,” he said. “It will be historical.

Jay Electronica’s recent decision to break bread with Jay-Z and Roc Nation has been quite the topic for close to a month now. We all know Puffy - that’s what I still refer to him as – took the news hard and even had difficult times taking in oxygen.

All Hip Hop caught up with the man behind Jay’s biggest hit to date (“Exhibit C”), Just Blaze, to get his take on the move. Pretty much in this clip, Just says a lot without saying too much. It’s obvious he feels some type of way, but you have to respect the fact he didn’t say anything he might regret without talking to J.E. first.

For the love of good music though, let’s hope these two can continue a working relationship.

Jay Electronica took to his twitter to address Diddy’s “subliminal” tweet over the weekend in which diddy stated: “Damn it hurts in a whole other way when someone you felt and I mean really felt was your Friend, Betrays you. It hurts when Breathe.” This all seems to stem from Jay Electronica signing with Jay – Z’s Rocnation. Diddy retorted this morning by tweeting Electronica saying: “I proud of you! I’m happy for you. I love you! I congratulate you’ I’m not mad at you! All I wanna do is see you win! All love“.
