Needless to say, Jay-Z and Kanye following through with Watch The Throne was a success and – whether admitted or not – a groundbreaking album in Hip-Hop. Here, two of the world’s biggest musicians actually followed through with a promise to produce a collaborative album together. And to sweeten the pot, the LP produced quality music even amid the unrealistic expectations people had prior to pressing play.

Well, the folks at Complex caught up with longtime confidant and co-worker of both Jay and ‘Ye, Young Guru, to get his thoughts on a duo of subjects including the possibility of the two MC’s circling the wagon one more time for a sequel.

“It’s definitely a serious consideration. Hasn’t been underway yet but definitely serious consideration. Has been talked about but hasn’t been executed yet. Definitely could happen. A lot of artists just say shit too but if you think about it, this is just my opinion, the way I would like it to go-I would like Kanye to do the G.O.O.D. Music album and Jay-Z to do a solo album then they go out and tour and do all that shit and then next year, or the end of the year, we get Watch the Throne 2. To me, that would be the best thing to happen. I think the G.O.O.D. Music album is necessary for Kanye to establish that brand because they need to establish [themselves].”

Given the overwhelming success of the the first one, it makes sense for, as Guru said, ‘Ye to complete his personal projects (the G.O.O.D. album and his own solo endeavor) and Jay to tie up the loose ends with his new album. Once that’s said and done, WTT2 would be the ultimate culmination of sorts. As of now though, it’s all speculation and playing the waiting game. It shouldn’t be too hard to get this accomplished even with Jigga’s new parenting responsibilities. You know, it’s not like he’d have a hard time finding a babysitter while he went to the studio or something.

10. Drake – Take Care – 31,000 - Expect Aubrey to be 1.5M deep next week and he could be double platinum soon. Tours help album sales in case you weren’t aware.

24. Young Jeezy – TM103 – 20,000 – See, this is where BET Uncut would play such a vital role in guaranteeing a video for “All We Do.”

26. Jay-Z & Kanye West – Watch The Throne – 20,000 - No one ever gets a list totally right, but how Jay landed at #6 on that MTV list was, how do I say this, odd.

35. Lil Wayne – Tha Carter IV – 16,000 – Double platinum. **Birdman hand rub**

Well the controversy has just elevated to a new level as the number 6 Hottest MC was revealed by MTV. The greatest rapper of all time (in my opinion) Jay-Z lands at the number six spot after releasing the incredible Watch The Throne album which debuted at number one on charts all over. I can honestly say that I agree with Hov’s placement being that he wasn’t involved in putting out a lot of music other than Watch The Throne. The top 5 MC’s will be revealed on Sunday at 8 on MTV2.

First and foremost, my apologies for not following through with this series the past few weeks. Secondly, kudos to @Tr0h for taking the initiative and getting me back on track. And thirdly, let’s get down to business.

1. Adele – 21 – 237,479 - I take a month off and look who’s still at number one. Granted, those numbers a tad bit inflated thanks to her making the Grammys her personal bitch last Sunday. That being said, George W. Bush may be allowed to be the guest speaker at the next NAACP national conference before Adele drops out the top 10 of the Billboard charts. At over 6.5x platinum, the “diamond watch” is officially on. Her previous album, 19, also appeared at #7 on the charts for those interested.

6. Whitney Houston – Greatest Hits – 63,853 - I honestly expected something from Whitney to be at #1 this week based off what death does for record sales. You know, it’s a damn shame Bobby isn’t apparently allowed at the funeral. But that’s another story.

10. Drake – Take Care – 32,373 - Here’s a fun fact. The young lady in the “Practice” video, Kyra Chaos, actually attended two of my best friend’s birthday party last July in Richmond. She’s actually cool as hell and I’ll just shut up now for fear of sounding like a male groupie.

18. Rihanna – Talk That Talk – 23,830 - “We Found Love” is a classic pop record and this really isn’t up for debate. Oh, and she’s creeping up on 700K. She’s as consistent of a seller as anyone on the charts not named Adele.

23. Young Jeezy – TM103 – 21,682 - I can’t shake the feeling if Boosie was free there would already be a remix to “Never Be The Same” with an accompanying video.

Drizzy say’s, “I do” to the the remix of Young Jeezy’s collaboration with Jay Z and Andre 3000. It was rumored to have been the orginal version set to release off the Snowman’s TM: 103 album. Either way it’s a classic adding the young YMCMB superstar to a A-list set of rappers. Check out Drizzy’s verse to Young Jeezy’s “I Do” above.

After hearing news that the infectious track has gone 2X Platinum, it’s only right that the video soon follow after. With the joint tour wrapped up and Jay-Z‘s Carnegie Hall benefit finished, above are the visuals for Jigga and Kanye West‘s ‘N*ggas In Paris‘ single, produced by Hit-Boy, featuring live footage from their tour. Here’s to a couple hours of rest for the both of them.

After performing “Ni**as in Paris” 10 times in a row at the “Watch the Throne” tour in Los Angeles, now the fans will be able to put a video on repeat starting Thursday, February 9th with the premiere on VEVO. The highly-anticipated video features footage from the live concert in California when the duo performed the song for a record breaking 10 times in a row. I don’t think I can put enough emphasis on 10 times in a row. Thats Cray! But it’s better late than never.
