With two days before the release of his fifth studio album Jesus Piece, The Game provided the last release of the his music series #SundayService before the drop of the album. The release is MURDER which features Scarface and Kendrick Lamar, and if the artwork that is provided with it is any clue, it will not be on the Jesus Piece Album. The track “Jesus Piece” is aimed to shut up all of the games haters….were starting to like this Jesus Piece movement, you know, the entire album were Game accredited himself as a young black Jesus.. Yeah, well it works! Throwing G.O.O.D music originator Kanye West on the hook and adding on Hip Hop emcee Common to a verse is a sure-fire way to get us listeners to catch the “holy spirit”. Continuing with the promotion of his new album Jesus Piece, The Game took to Twitter earlier this evening to drop a new track. The song titled Rollin’ is the newest addition to The Game’s Sunday Service weekly series. The song features: Kanye West, Trae Da Truth, Z-Ro, Paul Wall & Slim Thug. Released as the fourth segment to The Game’s newest campaign “Sunday Service”… an oath to release a new track every Sunday until the drop of his December 11th LP, “Jesus Piece” The Game drops the latest track “Black Jesus”. Featuring hooks by the famous producers Cool&Dre, Black Jesus references to The Game as a young black Jesus who just can’t leave the rap game alone.
The Game links up with Young Jeezy and Future for his new single “I Remember” off of his upcoming album “Jesus Piece.” Does this line up and track title sound familar? Well, the song was originally Tyga’s and was featured on his mixtape ”Well Done 3″ with Game and Future on it as well. In an interview with Rap-Up TV, The Game weighed in on plans to collaborate with none other than Nicki Minaj and Trey Songz on his upcoming “Jesus Piece” album. In addition to revealing the features, the Compton rapper put his two cents in on the Nicki/Mariah drama. Watch the full clip after the jump!
The Game says there is a higher power that inspired his new album and work; God. He says he saw the light some time last year.
“Last year in August, I got Baptized. I been gone to church but I’ve still been doing me. I still love the strip clubs I still smoke and drink. And I’m faithful to my family. But everybody loves God, even the most gangster of gangsters loves Jesus.”
