Before there was Wiz Khalifa, before we knew Kid Cudi there was the late, great Jimi Hendrix. Beginning November 26th, the extended footage of Hendrix’s 1969 Woodstock set will hit theatres as a docu-piece called “Hendrix 70: Live at Woodstock.”  For more details on the film and how to get tickets, hit the jump.

It’s true! It’s true! The rumors that we heard are true. We may have all been begging for a mixtape or another OutKast album, but we will be seeing Andre 3000 very soon. He was recently photographed in Ireland which is where pre-production and the actually shooting for the Jimi Hendrix Biopic will take place.

Andre 3000 was found walking on the streets of Dublin hiding from photographers using his coat, a copy of the Irish Times, and his handy dandy bodyguard. The Irish Film and Television Network tells us the movie is currently in preproduction and is set to shoot for about 6 weeks. The film will depict the 1966-1967 years while Hendrix was in England working on his “Are You Experienced” album.

There may also be more good news, while there is no confirmation on another OutKast album, Three Stacks is working on a solo project. He recently told GQ, “I’m going to get back to having fun.”
