Lil Wayne once again earns a spot on the front of XXL Magazine. This time around it’s for the May issue and unlike most covers, the photo is from a live performance. In the interview Lil Wayne discusses personal rituals, tips he gives to his YMCMB family, touring and much more. The issue also includes artists such as Odd Future, Diggy Simmons, 2-Chainz and many more. Issue hits newsstands everywhere on April 24th.

What a crazy weekend it has been! I just returned home from Coachella 2012, which was packed with so many surprises. Throughout this weekend, I was fortunate enough to see Frank Ocean, who was socially awkward onstage and hopefully has a better stage presence next week. Childish Gambino, who I’ve become an instant fan of after watch him put on an amazing performance. The-Weeknd, sounded amazing and definitely had the crowd enjoying every moment., and last but not least, Dr. Dre set was incredible! Last week, I ended such an amazing year off on the right note. I did my last interview for 2011 with Cherry Martinez of Power 105.1 in New York City. Cherry started a new segment called Girl Power Mondays which is geared to inspire and uplift the women listeners of her late night show. I was given the chance to “pop the cherry” of the show by being its first guest. Check out the video footage above, featuring the whole interview. A few weeks ago, GIVEN Liqueur asked me to part in their “Never GIVEN Up” campaign. Creator Michael Mills designed a sleek liqueur that features a smooth taste and flavors from sauvignon blanc grapes, tequila and natural lime juice. This blend is the making of an award-winning beverage that caters to both men and women. The campaign reached out to myself, as well as award-winning journalist Sharon Carpenter and celebrity fashion designers the Sachika Twins, and asked how we have never given up. Last night, I celebrated my going away party at Covet Lounge in Manhattan. I got to gather some of my closest personal and industry friends for a night of fun, laughter and shared memories. X-Rated Fusion Liquor helped me party the “Civil Way” by sponsoring the event and creating some special drinks in honor of me. Without giving away to much, I’ve decided to trade in my metro card for a surfboard. Its time for me to venture off, and move the KC.com brand to California.
