Lil Boosie Will Be Coming Home Sooner Then You Think!!!

Lil Boosie, who beat a 1st degree murder charge and has been in jail for pleading guilty to a drug charge, will be released from prison and sooner than we all thought! Boosie has been in prison since 2010 and was originally sentenced to eight years. According to sources close to the rapper, his legal team knew that he cut a deal after his drug charge under duress and he didn’t do what he was accused of. Boosie was reportedly attempting to smuggle drugs into Louisiana’s Dixon Correctional Center and Angola State Penitentiary and attempted to purchase “syrup” from a police informant. Find out when Boosie will be coming home after jump below.

Lil Boosie Found Not Guilty For 2009 Murder Charge

According to WAFB Channel 9, Lil Boosie has been found not guilty on the murder of Terry Boyd. Although the charges have been dropped for this murder, Lil Boosie is still serving an 8 year sentence for smuggling drugs into prison. The sentence is set for 8 years but Boosie has already served 4 of those 8 years

Lil Boosie is scheduled to stand trial for an alleged murder for hire plot that killed Terry Boyd in 2009 and regardless of what the verdict is, unfortunately, we probably won’t see Bad Azz as a free man for quite some time. I say “unfortunately” for two reasons. One, pending the brother is actually innocent of the charges, knowing life in prison is staring you in the face for a crime which wasn’t even your doing has to be a traumatic experience. That said, it’s not like he’s the first or will be the last to be wrongfully accused, tried and possibly convicted. However, if by chance he actually did follow through with the claims against him, that’s something totally different.

The second reason is I’m a huge fan of Boosie’s music. In a genre that prides itself on being “real” and takes even more pride in exposing those who aren’t, Boosie stands in a rare class. He’s never been exposed as someone he isn’t and his music has never once strayed away from the streets which raised him (or corrupted depending who you are). A perfect example of being a “product of his environment,” his music has gone on to define the violent streets of Baton Rouge while simultaneously crafting him as a living legend in Louisiana Hip-Hop. This video, “Touch Down To Cause Hell,” for better and worse, helps play into the image that Boosie is a gun toting, weed smoking hoodlum. It probably won’t help his case in court, but at this point, what’s done is done.

I’m still going to blast his music regardless. And the District Attorney can’t do anything about that.

Everyone has been waiting on this trial for nearly four years and today was the day Torrance Hatch, better known as Lil Boosie went to court for his sentencing. Investigators had accused him of trying to smuggle drugs once into Dixon Correctional Facility, and twice into Angola State Penitentiary.

Well earlier today Boosie pleaded guilty to charges of him smuggling contraband into two different prisons he was held in while awaiting trial on murder charges. He was sentenced to eight years hard labor for the charges, with credit for time served.

Dre is good people. Dre also happens to be apart of the Dirty Glove Bastard family who run, in my opinion, the finest site on the world wide web for anything Southern music related. More importantly, Dre also pulled some strings and got to kick with Yo Gotti as he paid a visit to Lil Boosie’s family recently. Gotti slid money to Bad Azz’s mom to help pay for lawyer fees for whenever Boosie goes on trial. It’s pretty dope stuff and a different look into one of the darker situations in rap music at the moment. I remember hearing awhile back that no rappers had visited Boosie since he had been locked down, but it is good to know he’s got some type of support out there.

Also, Gotti sheds light on his often-delayed album Live From The Kitchen which is all set to go according to and is now in the label’s hands.

Things go from bad to worse for Lil Boosie in the legal system, but his daughter Iviona is attempting to shed light on positivity. Some of you may or may not remember this tough little woman from the last installment of her dad’s Last Dayz webseries – one that documented Bad Azz’s last 72 hours as a free man behind the lenses of Motion Family. She spoke with an astonishming amount of pride and strength as she explained how her family would cope with her father behind bars.

Anywho, the nine-year-old joined the “U Hatin? Campaign” which focuses on forcing people to focus on the negative traits they have while simultaneously looking for their own form of success. Ironically, she heard about the program from her father.

“I believe in ‘U Hatin?’ because it teaches people to stop and think about what they are doing and saying, this is opposed to pulling people down,” Iviona Hatch said in a press release today (July 26th).

According to “U Hatin?” Chairman Lance Silver, the national campaign will disseminate its message throughout schools and youth programs, with the help of Iviona Hatch’s music.

“Iviona’s songs are about having a high self-esteem, getting a good education, listening to your parents and believing in your dreams,” Lance Silver added. “She does all of this through entertaining rhymes and story telling with the same swag as her daddy.”

Be on the look out for the young tike’s first single “So Hot” dropping next month, and more of her music here. I’m so serious about this.

Lil Boosie obviously doesn’t value his freedom. He’s already in jeopardy of receiving the death penalty and now finds himself back in the news for trying to sneak drugs inside the prison. It was reported that Boosie and two more inmates were trying to sneak in the ingredients to help them make codeine syrup. All three men were caught and have been charged with conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal institution and Boosie caught an additional charge for inciting a felony. At this rate, he might as well kick his feet up and relax because he’s not going anywhere.
