Well the rumors have been flying throughout every social media platform, and confirmations are rolling in as well. The 90′s girl group TLC, one who was extremely popular for hits like “Creep” and “Waterfalls” lives are being filmed for a biopic (a documentary style movie that reenacts key moments in one’s life). After the death of member Lisa “LeftEye” Lopez, the group TLC was never the same and had to separate, but will the biopic set to air on VH1 bring the two remaining members Chili & T-boz’s careers back to life? On the red carpet of the Vibe Impact Awards MC Lyte took the time to speak in support of New York rapper Lil Mama. While she did have hits within “Lip Gloss” and “Shawty Get Loose”, MC Lyte feels that Lil Mama wasn’t given a fair chance for her talent. This Thursday, Nicki Minaj will appear on the hit TV show America’s Best Dance Crew. She is not simply there for show however. The final contestants will perform to a slew of hit records from the Young Money superstar including “Did It On ‘Em,” “Moment 4 Life,” “Massive Attack” and “Check It Out.” Below are more pics of Nick on the set.
It turns out Lil Mama received a lump of coal from a New York crowd before Christmas Day. On December 23, the New York Native attended Chris Brown’s All Black Extravaganza as special guest at Webster Hall. Things started off fine with the crowd open towards her presence, but the mood quickly turned for the worse.
Nearly almost the moment she began to freestyle, the crowd pelted a heavy coat of boos in her direction prompting her to issue this on-the-spot statement.
“Excitement comes in so many different forms. Once you lose something that’s pure and as deep as your mother, nothing can faze you. Nothing! I love yall. I have love for your no matter what. This where I hail from. And the same niggas that hate me made me great, B.”
Known more recently for her off the mic actions – her unplanned stage crashing at the 2009 VMA’s and judge on America’s Best Dance Crew – is rumored to be recording a new album which will be the follow up to 2007′s VYP: Voice of the Young People.Read More
