Today marks the day of the 54th Annual Grammy Award Show in Los Angeles, CA. Tons of celebrities are packing out venues all throughout the area, and showing love to the most respected figures in music. Some of the biggest parties of the year are happening, including yesterday’s Roc Nation Pre-Grammy award Brunch. Tons of singers and actors piled in the Soho House for the Jay-Z Label imprint celebration including Rihana, Beyonce, Melanie Fiona, Gabrielle Beauvais, Kelly Rowland and more. On the red carpet of the Vibe Impact Awards MC Lyte took the time to speak in support of New York rapper Lil Mama. While she did have hits within “Lip Gloss” and “Shawty Get Loose”, MC Lyte feels that Lil Mama wasn’t given a fair chance for her talent. After that statement, MC Lyte went on to state that Lil Mama would be paying Lisa “Lefteye” Lopes in an upcoming TLC movie! What do you think about the casting choice of Lil Mama for the movie? Diddy, MC Lyte, Anita Baker & Queen Latifah Pay Homage To Mary J. Blige At Vibe Impact Awards

Celebrities gathered around the Vibe Impact Awards in West Hollywood at the Sunset Tower Hotel to pay tribute to a very special women in R&B Music. Vibe Magazine has set to honor Mary J. Blige as their Impact Of The Year Award Honoree. Celebrities, but more like long time friends such as Diddy, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte & Anita Baker stop by the red carpet to show their respect to the queen of R&B. The 2012 McDonald’s 365Black Awards were hot in more ways than one. The red carpet sizzled with top celebrities such as Tank, Marsha Ambrosias, MC Lyte, Grant & Tamia Hill and the legendary Chaka Khan.

As the McDonald’s official event social media correspondent I had the pleasure of getting some backstage love from Melanie Fiona and Chaka Khan at the 365Black Awards. Honoree recipient Chaka Khan expressed how excited she was to be recognized for her work with the Chaka Khan Foundation and how proud she is to be honored by a Brand that makes giving back one of its primary focuses.
