In extreme anticipation for the “Excuse My French” album drop this May, rapper French Montana is getting all of his visual masterpieces in line. Fresh off the screen from the “Freaks” video that featured a lusty-yet-tasteful Nicki Minaj, French Montana hits the set in Miami of his new video “Gifted” that features a guest collaboration from our favorite “Triology” crooner- The Weeknd; assisted by two little tiger cubs that get up close and personal on set. This update just coming in as of last night, one of the largest female rap phenoms still kicking today, Trina, has suffered a very near and dear loss of a family member. The tragic report tells that yesterday Trina’s younger brother Wilbert “Goonk” Bain as he is noted, was gunned down in an altercation in Miami. The arrested suspect at hand is 27 year old Ron Dobson. In a time and era where you never 100% know what is going to happen tomorrow, the hearts of Hip Hop extend out to Trina during this time. Art has been buzzing in the city of Miami this past weekend, as artist and celebritites alike are showcasing some of their greatest and latest pieces during the various Art Basel’s in the palm-tree city. Kanye West was no stranger to this territory, as celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kelly Rowland, Beyonce and Jay Z were also in town. Kanye had a chance to surpise a good friend, Pharell, at his Q&A session. Of course in Kanye “Ima let you finish” fashion, the famed rapper blurted out his question to Pharell who was promoting his new book “Pharrell: Places and Spaces I’ve Been“.
