Mike Posner makes an extremely thoughtful gesture this weekend by releasing his new track “Heaven”. He does this in honor of the Sandy Hook Connecticut school shooting and killing of 20 children and 6 adults, and depicts a picture of heaven in which we all are hoping the words to this song will be in the hearts of the affected victims families and friends. None of this makes sense according to Mike, and so there needs to be a little positivity in light of music. Posner goes on to say

““I wanted to do SOMETHING for the victims’ families. I wrote this song because I didn’t know what else to do, Today makes no sense…God has blessed me with this gift and it felt wrong not to share it. I hope this song finds its way to proper ears.”

I think Karen summed everything up with less than 140 characters earlier today on Twitter when she said Mike Posner is winning in so hard right now. I don’t think anyone could disagree with that one bit. He’s winning pretty big and in several different ways. His most recent milestone accomplished was writing and co-producing Justin Bieber‘s current single “Boyfriend” which went number one in over 40 countries.

Now let’s fast forward a few to this first ever encounter between Mike Posner and arguably the hottest rapper in the game right now in 2 Chainz. The two hooked up in the studio and are apparently recording a few records for the fans and if you’re a fan of the two like I’am, I know you’re itching to see what they’ve been working on.

Just Blaze makes his directorial debut for this track off of Cuey’s most recent mixtape, Can’t Wait. Mike Posner has a verse on the original song, but it was left out of the video “because of the treatment.” Whatever that means. Posner probably thought that he was cooler than Cuey. Recently Mike Posner stopped by to talk with Bootleg Kev on a array of topics and during this in depth interview, he gave away some details that we all wanted to hear. Among those details, he revealed that he has worked with Big Sean as well as J.Cole on his upcoming album “Sky High“. He also discusses writing Justin Bieber‘s first single and the process he went through in doing that.

Mike Posner, the soft voice crooner, stopped by the Young & Reckless studio recently to help showcase some of their new items for their Spring 2012 collection. Featuring dope creative direction, that of which is reminiscent of a Complex shoot, the Spring collection is looking to be very promising.
