Big Sean Has Big Collaborations Lined Up

After hearing “Mercy,” we all remembered why we love G.O.O.D. Music so much. While  their unified album is on the way, Big Sean is keeping the momentum going as he recently revealed a number of big name collaborations he has planned for his follow up to “Finally Famous.” In an interview on Power 106 with the LA Leakers, he shared that he and Justin Bieber have already recorded a track together. Sean says, “You gon’ see it sooner or later—either my album, his album, we’ll see.” He also says there are things in the works between himself and his “Dance (A$$)” partner, Nicki Minaj. “She’s the homie though. Shout out to her, YMCMB. They show so much love.” Nicki isn’t the only member of the YMCMB clique that is showing love. Lil Wayne and Sean have worked on a track for Wayne and DJ Khaled’s upcoming albums.

Aside from his upcoming features, Big Sean has some amazing production on the table for his album. Kanye West, No I.D. and Salaam Remi will all be creating tracks for Sean on his second album. “Finally Famous” featured over 8 production credits from No I.D. including “My Last.” If you can’t wait for the actual album, Big Sean has promised the release of a mixtape prior to his sophomore album entitled F.F.O.E. (Finally Famous Over Everything).

Man, it is good to see Big Sean winning out here. He has been preparing the world for the release of his debut album Finally Famous for years now through word of mouth and a pretty damn good mixtape series. Good things come to those who wait and it appears as if 2011 is the year this Detroit Piston becomes a household name.

The supposed first single is the light hearted and humble “My Last” featuring Chris Brown. Success is a long road to travel and both reflect and appreciate the moment they’re currently experiencing over this No I.D. produced cut. Off the first few listens, I like this look for Sean. It has more than enough “crossover appeal,” but it also harbors that witty flow most fans have come to appreciate with his music.

According to what is going around, look for the album to drop next month. I’m not exactly sold on that release date, but “My Last” is certainly a suitable first impression.

It’s all Chi-Town everything on this track. “We Can Do It Now” was created to be an anthem for the city of Chicago, and features Windy City natives Common, Lupe Fiasco and Jennifer Hudson. The track was produced by No I.D., who is also from the Chi. The song is featured on the soundtrack for the sports series REPLAY which is powered by Gatorade.
