Taylor Gang frontman and soon-to-be poppa Wiz Khalifa has laced us with a new track called “Rise Above” featuring Tuki Carter, Super-producer Pharrell, and a special surprise  from wifey Amber Rose! While Wiz Khalifa is touring the country with the rest of the Taylor Gang crew for The 2050 Tour, he’s also preparing for his upcoming O.N.I.F.C album, which drops on December 4th. With New Orleans being one of the stops on the tour Wiz surprised the his fans and brought out New Orleans native rapper Curren$y to perform “Jet Life.” Fans are still waiting on their Live In Concert project together and with the wait being this long I’m pretty sure it’s nothing but classic tunes on the tape. Following the release of latest single, “Remember Me”, Wiz Khalifa disclosed more info on his upcoming album today. The December 4th release of “O.N.I.F.C.” finally has a track list. The biggest gripe against Wiz Khalifa’s Rolling Papers was that a lot of it – for lack of a better description – was corny. Many of the songs appeared force fed by Atlantic Records themselves and the goodwill Wiz established through a hypnotizing run of mixtapes felt nearly as if it had never been recorded. Months ago, The Head Taylor In Charge (that’d be Wiz) promised this time around would be more organic. “Work Hard, Play Hard” was a respectable first single and one which gained a fair amount of radio play and remix with Weezy and Jeezy. However, with the arrival of the perceived follow up single may be the one we’ve all been waiting for from Bro. Khalifa.  (more…)

Just finishing up his “Under The Influence Tour” Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa releases the artwork for his album cover off of his sophomore solo album, O.N.I.F.C. It was suppose to drop August 28th but was pushed back and is set to drop September 18th. What are your thoughts on the cover? Is it typical Wiz or a new look?
