Say what you will, but those first six or seven chapters of R. Kelly’s “Trapped In The Closet” mini-drama was some of the most creative musical pieces I’ve heard. People legitimately would sit by the radio and/or Internet in anticipation to see what Kelz, Rufus, Gwendolyn and the whole clique would get into next. Then, once the midget was in the pantry things got weird and the series lost its luster.
For those who thought Ashanti might have disappeared completely off of the music scene, you thought wrong. Ashanti teams up with the King of R&B, R.Kelly, for what sounds like a major hit “That’s What We Do”. Listen to the new record after the jump…

After G.O.O.D Music recently released another single, “Clique,” off of their “Cruel Summer” album, which drops September 17, We’ve got the official tracklisting after jump. The features include R. 1. Rick Ross – God Forgives, I Dont – 218,492 - Barring some unforeseen events, this album probably doesn’t make it to platinum. That said, Ross can at least stake claim to having a #1 album. And even with Meek’s album on the horizon, I don’t see the promotional machine for this album dying anytime soon. You know, like with 3 Stacks allegedly directing the “Sixteen” video.
The legendary R. Kelly is feeling single and ready to mingle. He recently shot a mini broadway play in his latest video for the song, “Feelin Single”. The song is off his new album Write Me Back, which released June 26th. Above is where you can see the video.

Kelly and Jeremih team up for this little surprise. “Misunderstood”, produced by Da Internz, will probably either play a part on Jeremih’s upcoming Late Nights project or Kells’ Black Panties album.
