8. Kid Cudi – Indicud – 36,000 – Following a few listens, this album personally didn’t do much for me. It’s selling well, so congrats to buddy for that. “Pursuit Of Happiness,” however, is one of the most important life songs of the past decade though. No hyperbole.

snoop lion no guns allowed

With acts of violence, not just in America, but sweeping the world population  you never know what’s a safe atmosphere anymore. Gun violence and pointless shootings have been the top of conversation lately, from disastrous situations such as the George Zimmerman and Travon Martin tragedy  to the very recent Sandy Hook school shooting. In the simplest way to be put, guns to need to be controlled  banned or restricted from residential, unlicensed users by any means. Rappers Snoop Lion, Drake and Snoops daughter Cori B team up in light of the effort. With this reggae vibed “Bob Marley” styled tune “No Guns Allowed”, the trio lyrically expresses the need for gun violence to be terminated. The act of kindness needs to practiced across cultures more, and the act of violence as well as criminal-ism needs to become null and void. Check out the new powerful video after the jump!

Born Calvin Broadus on October 20, 1971, in Long Beach, California, Snoop Dogg got his nickname from his mother because she thought he looked like the character in the Peanuts cartoon. His first album, Doggystyle (1993), climbed its way to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s hip-hop and Top 200 charts, and his music and trouble with the law have kept him in the headlines ever since. In early 2012, Snoop announced that he was working for the first time on an all-reggae album, Reincarnation. Later in 2012, he announced that, in conjunction with his reggae project, he was dropping “Dogg” from his name and becoming “Snoop Lion.” Check after jump to continue reading

Having known Snoop Dogg the rapper, actor, businessman and marijuana supporter for basically 20 of my 27 years on Earth, grasping his transformation into Snoop Lion hasn’t exactly been the easiest process. The man born Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr. recently sat down with HipHopDX to shed light on two topics apparently very important to him – his faith and gun control.

Well this is a surprising drop. Free Bandz original rapper/(singer) Future grabs up West Coast OG Snoop Lion for this hot banger titled “Homicide”. With the style that Snoop Dog has been on recently, we didn’t know whether this track was really going to go hard, but once that bass kicks off during the intro “Homicide” is marked as a problem.
