 The Weeknd, performed an intimate show in his hometown of Toronto last night. His setlist included two new songs: the recently-released single “Kiss Land” and a never-before-heard cut entitled, “You Belong To The World”, which appears to sample Portishead’s “Machine Gun”. The Weeknd’s new album, Kiss Land, is due out later this year. It marks the proper studio follow-up to his mixtape trilogy of House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence.

Out of the blue (like he does most of his music) The Weeknd drops off his first single to his upcoming project “Kiss Land“. The single features what seems to be two songs in one, similar to what Frank Ocean did with “Pyramids“. Was it worth the wait? I think so. “Kiss Land” set to drop later this year.

In preparation for The Weeknd‘s 4th project installment, the XO/Republic singer drops a new song teaser titled “John Carpenter”. The significance in name? We have no idea. The vibe of the song? Absolutely thrilling. “This ain’t nothing to relate to, but you can try anyway” sums of the snippet that we get from the new cut. Still paying much respect and attention to his “B.O.A.T.S” album, 2 Chainz lets go of the Sharod Marcus Simpson directed visual for the bonus track off of the album. Although The Weeknd is sampled on the hook of the record, he does not appear in the video. If you haven’t already, go and pick up a copy of 2 Chainz “B.O.A.T.S” album.

In extreme anticipation for the “Excuse My French” album drop this May, rapper French Montana is getting all of his visual masterpieces in line. Fresh off the screen from the “Freaks” video that featured a lusty-yet-tasteful Nicki Minaj, French Montana hits the set in Miami of his new video “Gifted” that features a guest collaboration from our favorite “Triology” crooner- The Weeknd; assisted by two little tiger cubs that get up close and personal on set. It’s finally arrived! Every year, the hip-hop community patiently awaits to see who will make the cut and who got snubbed from one of the most impactful nods in the hip-hop game. Who would have thought it would have been taken this far? One of the hottest song creators around these days, The Weeknd, started off getting loads of views on Youtube from tracks like “What You Need” and since then has not switched up his style. Not only has the XO crooner stayed true to his roots, he has had phenomenal success while doing it and pushed a chart topping album titled “Trilogy” which featured a compilation of cuts from his original projects “Thursday” “House Of Balloons” and “Echos Of Silence”. You were either waiting for it, or weren’t expecting it, but either way it’s here. Breakout musical singer The Weeknd has premiered his new video for the track “Twenty Eight”. The Weeknd’s videos are always pure artwork, inspired by mostly black & white portrayals of renaissance style nudity (tastefully done) and raw situations that are not typical at all for an artist of his genre.
