The good folks at ThisIsRnB caught up with Trey Songz for an interview that had the superstar singer speaking on topics ranging from his evolution as an artist, surreal moments in his career and how a recent charity event provide for the most emotional performance of his career. For those wondering, and after the jump, Songz also offers some brief insight on his new album, the forthcoming Chapter 5 (which if penned correctly could potentially be the biggest of career thus far).

Soapbox spill: As a resident of the same area Trey is constantly praising in his music, it’s good to see dude achieving all this success. I remember back in 2005 when he was dropping mixtape after mixtape. I also remember the entire 804 was on fire when he dropped “Just Gotta Make It” with Twista. Fast forward six years, several hit records and millions of albums later, he’s the star most people around here always thought he would be. Ok, I’m done. I swear.

Let’s keep the Bad Boy posts going, shall we. Red Cafe recruits a very strong and unexpected line up for the remix to his Ryan Leslie assisted single. The whole Bad Boy team invaded Hot 97 immediately after announcing French on 106 & Park and before they left, Flex did the honors of premiering the remix. Un-tagged coming soon.

Wale enlists a star studded line up for the remix to his popular “Bait” track which has been getting a lot of spins since being released. Of course the line-up could have been better but this will do. Ambition in stores now.

And the big week for Tremaine continues. He recently dropped off his latest video for Top Of The World on 106 & Park this week along with two mixtapes and a single from his upcoming album. Just when you think he’s gonna slow down, Trey will be releasing Inevitable which is a free EP on 11/28. Im sure it’s safe to say November is Trey’s month.

After releasing his first single featuring Fabolous earlier today, Trey Songz is right back at it with not one but two brand new mixtapes, all filled with brand new material. Above is the mixtape mainly for the ladies and is what we are more accustomed to hearing from Trey. It’s a big day for Tremaine. He will later be releasing two mixtapes, Anticipation 2 and #LemmeHoldThatBeat 2. But before he does that, he puts out his first single featuring Fabolous whom he works very well with. The song is already available for purchase on iTunes so make sure you support Trey and get that. Also be sure to check back for both of those mixtapes which will be out a little later.

On November 1st, Trey Songz will not only release “#LemmeHoldThatBeat 2” but he will drop “Anticipation 2” as well. Here is the first track off of the Anticipation 2 premiered by Tremaine himself. The first Anticipation was pretty good so hopefully the second installment doesn’t disappoint.
