There were bikes on a half-pipe and glow in the dark bodies suits, but most importantly, there was time set aside to pay tribute to the incomparable Whitney Houston. John Legend and Whitney’s “Sparkle” Co-Star, Jordan Sparks, joined forces to pay homage to the greatness that was and still is Whitney Houston. The music and memories were enough to move Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, to tears.  Following the tribute, Bobby Kristina and Pat Houston took to the stage to accept the Millenium Award on behalf of the Late Whitney Houston. Bobbi Kristina thanked the fans for all they have done for her and her family over all the years.

“I just really want to say thank you to everyone who supported us through it all, not just from when it was good, but when it was bad, to just everything. Thank you so much for showing that much love ’cause she deserved it. I’m just blessed to have been in such an incredible woman’s life. There will never be another one, ever.”

You can watch the tribute and award acceptance below.

But The 2012 Billboard Awards weren’t just sad times. Last night gave us a lot to smile about including stunning performances from Chris Brown, Justin Beiber, Goodie Mob, Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder, and Usher.

Chris showed his bad boy biker side and performed “Turn Up The Music” to the delight of all of the fans in attendance. He turned the stage into a half-pipe and had bikers and dancers everywhere. Watch his performance below and be prepared to enter the “Fun Zone.”

Justin Beiber lit up the stage with his performance of “Boyfriend.” Lots of lighting effects were used to transform the set into a colorful playground. Dancers dressed in glow in the dark suits only added to the fun. It looked like everyone had a great time, even the crowd. Watch his performance below.

Usher had us all seeing double with his performance of “Scream.” A body double appeared midway through his performance and it reminded us all of a Gene Kelly performance. Watch below and see if it makes you scream.

In addition to the larger than life performances, a lot of Hip-Hop and R&B stars won big awards as well last night. Here’s a Winner Recap just in case you missed it.

2. Adele – 21 – 101,351 - In related news, the sky is blue, too.

9. Tank – This Is How I Feel – 33,031 - It’s summer time which means the always-fun summer fling. And here’s your theme music.

21. Nick Minaj – Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – 17,638 - Let it be known I’m none too pleased with Nicki getting up close and personal with Nas and Chris Brown in her new video. She is, however, almost gold.

32. Rihanna – Talk That Talk – 11,799 - She’s about 130K away from platinum. And she will get there. Slowly but surely, she’ll get there; especially when radio stations play “Cake” 100,000 times a day.

33. Whitney Houston – Greatest Hits – 11,006 - Regardless of what will be said about her over the years, fact still remains she had the greatest pure voice of all time. That and it feels like she’s been gone for a year now. Technology is something else.

59. Maroon 5 – Hands All Over – 7,675 - Have I told you “Moves Like Jagger” is still my sh*t? I haven’t? Well, “Moves Like Jagger” is still my sh*t.

85. Young Jeezy – TM103 – 5,644 - I’m still going to need an official video for “Way Too Gone,” Young.

128. Beyonce – 4 – 3,845 - Mama Knowles hasn’t been on the Billboard Breakdown in awhile, but she’s platinum and I’m pretty sure she’s busy with maternal duties and working on her next album to pay attention to where this is on the charts. Or not.

Whitney Houston had cocaine in her system when she died — this according to the L.A. County Coroner.

The L.A. County Coroner has just released the singer’s official cause of death — accidental drowning … but the report also notes heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors to Whitney’s demise.

A source connected to the investigation tells us it is “very possible” Whitney had a heart attack that caused her to lose consciousness and drown. The heart attack may have been triggered by hardening of the arteries as a result of cocaine use.

As we previously reported, Whitney was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton hotel last month and several pills were found on the scene — including Xanax, Ibuprofen, and Midol.

Investigators found NO EVIDENCE of cocaine in the hotel room.

Law enforcement sources have told us from the beginning they did not suspect foul play — and believe her death was not a homicide.

Her family however had doubts about Whitney’s demise — suggesting there may have been foul play.

1. Adele – 21 – 246,529 - I’ve run out of compliments to give Adele. This is just ridiculous now. FYI, she’ll be 8x platinum next week.

2. Whitney Houston – Greatest Hits – 112,065 - No real surprise here either. Whitney’s daughter is getting everything though. And everything as in ev-er-y-thing.

6. Tyga – Careless World – 37,413 - I hear “Faded” is probably looking like the next single. Good move.

8. Drake – Take Care – 29,832 - Is it me or has it been a minute since Drizzy dropped some new music? Now imagine what the net will do if he does one of those “drop-a-track-at-4-a.m.” again.

9. Rihanna – Talk That Talk – 25,302 - If Rih-Rih shoots a new video for this and there’s a clip of her eating rice cakes, Twitter may break.

27. Jay-Z & Kanye West – Watch The Throne - 15,109 – With all this talk of a sequel, what I really want to hear is a video for “Who Gon’ Stop Me” is being filmed.  (Keep reading…)

1. Adele – 21 – 296,549 - Y’all thought I was joking when I said she has a legitimate shot at surpassing 10M albums sold? Well, I was. Forget “legitimate,” she will break that barrier some point very soon. She damn near sold 300K last week? Unreal.

2. Whitney Houston – Greatest Hits – 173,778 – For situations like this, I always refer to Jadakiss’ classic line. “Controvery sells, but not like death.”

4. Tyga – Careless World – 61,231 - Considering the success of “Rack City,” one would probably expect this number to be higher. Then you remember this number is based largely off digital sales because all of albums were taken off shelves, including Best Buy.

13. Drake – Take Care – 26,025 - I’m going to keep saying it until it happens (or doesn’t). A video for “Underground Kingz” would be dope.

14. Rihanna – Talk That Talk – 23,202 – Imagine the controversy that’d come if she and Chris Brown actually shot a video for their “Cake (Remix).”  (Keep reading…)
