The homie Young Chris is back at it with another collaboration with label mate Rico Love. This time the two combine talents for late night, after hours inspired cut “Ooh Ahh.” The Gunna cuts no corners in expressing what runs through his mind when addressing the opposite sex. The video for this has BET Uncut written all over it, but Rico says this is heading straight for the radio. I wouldn’t be mad at either option. Be on the lookout for Chris’ new album, Alive, coming sooner than you’d think.

On a related note, C will also be releasing a tape specifically geared to the ladies in the near future as well. So if you (ladies, of course) were feeling the vibe on “Ooh Ahh,” expect a whole project’s worth.

Start your work week off with an exclusive cut from Young Chris. Why? Because, honestly, why wouldn’t you want to? The Gunna continues to his slaughter of everything he touches with “Base 2 Ya Face” being the latest example. Obviously, this finds the homie jumping over the 9th Wonder produced Lil B, Phonte, Jean Grae which had people buzzing a few weeks back.

Nigga I live in heaven but I raise hell here
Big ass 357 not leaving a shell here
My niggas in jail there, bitches send mail there
Nef need healthcare, sister on welfare
Yall niggas look sick, hope you get well there
Gun of this shit, I’m like the ’04 Telfair

Sebastian Telfair was that dude back in 2004. Everyone swore he was the next great point guard. He was even on that SLAM cover with LeBron and everything. My how time plays itself out. Anyway, and as always, shout out to Wayno for the exclusive. Chris is in a zone right now. Here’s to hoping he never gets out of it either.

For everyone shouting R.I.P. Biggie, make sure you send a happy birthday over to Young Chris as well. Above is footage from Chris’ birthday bash at Luxe Lounge/Pinnacle Night Club in Philly. Don Cannon, DJ Drama and Neef were a list of notable names that came out in support of the Gunna.

Wayno comes through yet again another Young Chris exclusive. This time, Chris teams up with the beautiful Marsha Ambrosius for the Chad Wes produced “Hey Young Girl” – which is also a tribute to his daughter. Now that’s the best thing I’ve heard all day.

It’s been nothing but work for Young Chris since making the deal with Division 1 official. The Re-Introduction was the icebreaker. Now, the focus appears to center around his forthcoming solo album. No word on if “Flatline” is slated to appear on the still untitled project, but if it is, consider this an insane first impression. The record is produced by Cardiak - better known as the man behind Lloyd Banks’ “Start It Up“.

Chris appears energized as he kicks the record off with a sharp offering, highlighted by the sports references ranging from everyone from Blake Griffin to Kemba Walker. If that isn’t enticing enough, the aforementioned Lloyd Banks rides shotgun with a flow that’s just as dizzying as it is cold.

Much respect to the overseer of Chris’ music, his A&R Wayno, for sending this gem through.

My second day kicking it with at Shade 45 saw Young Chris as the special guest.

Philly’s own spoke on Meek Mill and how they’re working with each other on projects and clears up the air about his seizure at SOB’s last month. In Chris’ words, he simply “overworked himself” vowed to pace himself more in the future to ensure the incident will not repeat itself. Also, be on the lookout for Chris possibly on tour with Diddy in the near future.

What many do not know is that both Cam’ron and Jim Jones were attempting sign Chris, but he ultimately chose Rico Love’s Division 1 instead. Chris explains there is no bad blood and then takes some calls from fans.
