A very original theme, Young Money Cash Money artists PJ Morton and Busta Rhymes come together for the visual “Never Get Over You”; but this is just no ordinary visual that features the two artists with women, cars and money. PJ & Busta are played by a group of young kids (specifically PJ’s son and nephew) rocking out a live band and chiming along to the lyrics of the track. Directed by Matt Robertson, you can view the new video after the jump and read more on PJ’s upcoming tour dates and new projects. (more…)

Mack Maine

The YMCMB front man Mack Maine hit the Young Money Cash Money party red carpet during Grammy weekend and dropped some knowledge on what’s been buzzing with the prominent music label these days. Outside of the key power players of the camp, Drake, Nicki, Tyga & Wayne, Mack mentions that he is trying to get the children’s divison of the label up and going. He mentions signing PJ Morton, member of “Maroon 5″ a group called “WTF” that consists of 3 youngins, and the Rap princess herself, Wayne’s first daughter Reginae Carter. Today Mr. Rack City has released a mixtape, continuing to supply music for his fans. The mixtape titled 187, is Tyga’s second mixtape release this year. This mixtape appears as if to be the capping of a busy and successful year for Tyga which also included tours as well as the release of his album Careless World: Rise of the Last King, which came at the top of the year.  The Young Money rapper looks to be continuing strong in 2013 with the recent announcement of his next album Hotel California. chief keef

We already know how Birdman feels about the up-incoming rapper Chief Keef. But during a small window of opportunity from his house arrest bid for weapons possession, the Chicago Illinois native swung by the GlobalGrind to discuss which three record labels he was considering signing with.

Despite the crazy attention from his “I Don’t Like” remix with Kanye and G.O.O.D. Music, it looks like they won’t be the direction his looking for. I’m thinking based off his last feature with Young Jeezy for his new single “Understand Me,” CTE may be the move for the 16 year old rapper. Check out the interview above and let us know what you think?

Drake-Lil-Wayne

Lil Wayne has jumped in the trenches for his protegé’ Drake who appears to be the target of Pusha T’s Exodus 23:1. This isn’t the first time G.O.O.D. Music and Young Money have been at odds. First there was the Drake-Common feud, and then Pusha T fired a freestyle at Drake to Drake’s “Don’t F*** With Me.” Now he has returned with Exodus 23:1. The following lines for were supposedly subliminally shot at Drake.

“Beef is when you hide behind them other ni**as/ But they ain’t killas, they ain’t pulling them triggas/ Fuck ni**as, Contract all fucked up/ I guess that means you all fucked up/ You signed to one ni**a, that’s signed to another ni**a, that’s signed to three ni**as/ Now that’s bad luck/ Damn that shit even the odds now/ You better off selling this hard now/ You call it living out your dreams/ You can’t fly without your wings.”

It didn’t take long for the YMCMB Chief to jump in. And Wayne responded with this tweet.

Straight forward and to the point. Generally speaking, it appears that Drake has been the target for a lot of rap battles, but you can rest easy knowing that he will respond. Maybe we can all anticipate a freestyle in the near future. Or maybe even a track with a feature from Wayne to let us know what’s really G.O.O.D.
